About Talilo Marfil

Born in Iloilo, Philippines, Talilo immigrated to the U.S. when he was just two years old. Growing up on hip hop, he related to the struggle expressed in the genre and began rapping at 16. As a Pacific Islander in poverty, he ended up making decisions that would put him on the streets, in jail, and eventually in prison. Upon release at 21, guided by spiritual values and a hunger to reclaim his culture, he aims to inspire those who have experienced similar challenges.
